Local Insurance Professionals Raise Money for Children
With their third annual charity golf tournament the North Central Florida Chapter of CPCU raised $8000 for Friends of Children. The Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) Society is a group of credentialed insurance professionals who promote excellence through ethical behavior and continuing education.
Friends of Children is an organization created to raise funds to establish a campus of the Florida Baptist Children’s Homes in Alachua County, serving a 5 County area.
Jane Doig, CPCU president, presented the check to Bill Cellon and Ron Locke from Friends of Children at the May meeting of the CPCU Chapter. Also on hand was Jessica Throchmortan from Florida Baptist Childrens Homes.
The meeting also marked the induction of new officers for the coming year. Loren Gallogly, Area Governor for the Southeast US, presided over the induction of Joel Curran, President; Jason Neville, Vice Pesident; Kim Dyle, Treasurer; and Carol Wilson, Secretary.
